I saw a pin come across Pinterest a couple weeks ago, and it was a simple, genius “why didn’t I think of that!” idea.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t link back to anything, but I believe it’s from this stock photography site to begin with. (Ahhh… the issues with Pinterest, there are plenty.) So I’m not going to embed it here, since I don’t know who to give credit to.
Anyway, the image appears to be of coffee ice cubes, covered in milk or creamer. Simple enough, right?
I made some ice cubes from coffee the next day. Then I tried them with creamer over them (because I pretty much hate milk) and it was too… creamy. The day after that I had a fresh hot cup of coffee in the morning, then come that afternoon, I had half a pot of cold coffee. So I just poured the leftover coffee over my cubes, then added my two favorite and very unnatural, not healthy ingredients- International Delights creamer and Reddi Whip.
Now that? Was the perfect combo and the best iced coffee ever. Not to mention WAY easy.
I certainly don’t think I invented the wheel here or anything, but this new way of using up old coffee is pretty life-changing for me, especially during these hot months. Thought I’d share.
