I love jewelry that has significance. Throughout my teen years, I wore a charm bracelet daily, collecting new charms for each milestone in my young life. I even wore it often in my early twenties, but I had to put it away once I had Kendall. It’s just not practical to be wearing a floppy bracelet with dangly charms that get caught in tiny clothes or brush against baby when you’re trying to quietly lay him in his bed.
But, I’ve since developed an obsession with “mom jewelry,” pieces that symbolize my family, my children. I have a couple necklaces that I love, but I’ve always wanted something that worked in birthstones. Knowing we’re still growing our family, though, I hated to commit to anything that was costly and couldn’t be added to.
Michele from Olive Bungalow contacted me at the end of last year to see if I’d be interested in reviewing some of her jewelry. The moment I laid eyes on her amazing stackable birthstone rings, I was sold. I was thrilled she reached out to me and over the moon in love with my new rings when they arrived in the mail today!
That top stone is Leyna’s December birthstone, the bottom is Kendall’s May birthstone and the middle is my February birthstone. How sweet is that? These are pictures Michele provided of the actual rings she sent me. I was going to take some of my own to show you how they look on my hand, but it’s incredibly hard to take pictures left handed. Hand model, I am not, and momma needs a manicure. (You can check out this poor quality Iphone pic, though, if you’re really curious.)
I love that this is truly a custom piece, and the chances that someone will have one just like it are slim since I was able to choose from a variety of different bands to go with the stones. Plus, when/if we finally add another child to the mix (in many years!), I can add another ring to the stack.
The rings themselves are just absolutely stunning. The delicate details give them a bit of a vintage feel. They definitely feel like quality heirloom pieces, something classic that I can see myself wearing for years to come.
Michele is a true artist, handcrafting every piece she sells. Plus, she only uses eco-friendly, recycled and re-claimed sterling silver and gold, and only natural and genuine fair-trade gemstones. I love that her pieces are made in such a responsible and sustainable way!
The birthstone stackable ring is just one of the many gorgeous designs she has to offer. She just introduced some Valentines Day inspired pieces, including this Love Necklace with 14k Gold, which she wants to give to one of you!
Her entire Valentines Day collection is already on sale for 10% off, but with the code babyrabies10 you can actually get an ADDITIONAL 10% off since it gives you 10% off everything on her site! The code will be good through Friday, February 4th when I draw the winner of the Love Necklace. You’ll also get free shipping on all orders over $75 (before discount is applied).
