We didn’t originally buy this little vacuum for him. But then it came in, and he was a toddler, and it was perfectly sized for him. So he claimed it, and my floors rejoiced.

I’ve since told many people with toddlers and preschoolers that this vacuum- the Hoover Linx Cordless Stick Vacuum– makes a great gift for littles.

Based on their feedback, AND the fact that at 4.5 years old he is still obsessed (and it still works great!), it remains on my list of awesome things for kids that you can’t buy at a toy store.

Our house is on the market, so that means we clean the heck out of it every single day, especially the days we have showings. Lowell wakes up in the morning and the first thing he tells me is, “I gotta get to work, momma! I gotta clean dis house.”

He does not get this from me.

Today, he actually requested pictures with his vacuum.

So we had a Lowell and vacuum photo shoot.

That’s what I did with my Sunday.

Well, that and get ready for a showing that was canceled 15 minutes after we left the house.

We’ve had this vacuum for about 2 years, I think. It’s been great. Here’s an affiliate link if you want to check it out, or add it to your toddler’s wish list.

  1. There’s no link and I neeeeed that vacuum for the current Little Guy I look after several days a week. He loves my Shark but the handle is touchy and I’m afraid he’s going to break it. This one is the perfect one for him.
Please email me the link and I will order one straight away; many thanks.

  • So many feels. 😭
  • Lowell’s default pose anytime I try to get a picture of him with Wallace is to grab his neck 🤣🤣🤣 I think he’s trying to do my a solid by getting him to stay still, which, I mean.. it works? #loloyolo #wallaceaustin
  • We're all doing the best we can with what we have. Pass it on when you see another mom struggling. We could also use an ounce of encouragement.
  • We tried #BuildABear Pay Your Age Day this morning and that wound up being a big NOPE (more in my stories!). That’s ok. We’ll settle for naps and another visit to the pool this evening.
  • Come 👏🏻 On👏🏻 Dads, do you feel the same? Makes us both so mad.
  • This one turns FIVE this month! Lately he’s gotten into Minecraft, which I kinda love because he’s bonding with his big sibs over it, but for a while it looked like it was taking over his passion for Mighty Machines (and all things construction and digging in the dirt) and that broke my heart because I’m not ready for this little boy to not be in love with those things anymore. The kids took a 2 week screen break (much needed and not nearly as awful as I thought it would be) and Lowell found his diggers and his dump truck again. All is right in the world now. I just want him to play with them forever, is that too much to hope for? 😌💙🚜 (Also, how cool is his Roadschool shirt from @hmschld ?! 💖) #loloyolo

  • Happy 4th to you! May your neighbors abide by all city ordinances or at the very least only wake your baby once with their illegal fireworks. 🇺🇸
