If you follow me on Instagram, you may think Wallace spends his whole life in his baby walker these days. You’d only be partly wrong. He spends probably half his waking hours in it. Not because we neglect him, okay. HE LOVES IT.

We’ve actually had this walker since Lowell was about this age. It’s a Joovy Spoon, and it’s been well-loved. So much so that the seat was beginning to come apart at the seams, so I got a replacement seat from Joovy, but this time in blue.

I tasked Scott with unboxing the new seat and switching it out, and he cheered, “Oh awesome! It’s Blues hockey blue! We should make this his St. Louis Blues walker.” He wasn’t serious, but you don’t just say something BRILLIANT like that to me and expect it to pass.

“Wait, don’t we have some Blues vinyl decals hanging around?” I asked. I bought him a giant STL Blues decal to put on the garage floor a couple years ago, and it came with some bonus small decals. We never got around to putting that big one on the garage floor. Guess that’s for the best. But, yes, we DID have some small ones still!

So, check this out. Because the Joovy Spoon is so simple and sleek and minimal, we were able to put that decal on there, and it totally works. It’s not clashing with a neon green toy bar, and it’s on the giant tray that has a plastic cover, which you remove before applying the stickers directly to the walker tray, that keeps it from getting baby drool and smooshed bananas rubbed all over it.

Joovy is not paying me to do this. I’m just a blogger who knows a cute, possibly pinnable project when she sees one… or when her husband suggests one, and then she shouts, “No, seriously. Let’s do that! I think the internet might love it.”

We hardly got fancy with this, but it got me thinking how easy and fun it would be to really run with it!

Personalizing things for baby is SO much fun, especially when you can express their… or, well, YOUR unique personality beyond what’s offered in baby stores. I could see a Hogwarts theme, camo vinyl with deer silhouettes, black and white and red geo prints… wheeee, so many ideas!

I would love to gift one of these Joovy Spoon walkers to you! It’s up to you if/how you decide to personalize it, but either way, I hope your baby loves it as much as mine have. Joovy is providing one, and the winner gets to choose the color.
(US only because Canada banned baby walkers but has been endangering kids with Kinder Eggs for years.)
