I have so much time these days. It’s getting really boring around here, what with all the laying around, eating bon-bons, growing a baby while watching the pool boy. So I thought I’d get another job. Just to keep things fresh, you know?
Ha.
Hahahahahaha.
But really, I did take on a new job. And no, I did not figure out how to clone myself or stop time so PLEASE DON’T COME LOOKING FOR ME, CIA. I’m just crazy like that… and also know when to jump at a great opportunity when it comes my way.
About a year and a half ago, I heard that StrollerTraffic was launching in Dallas, and I reached out to the publisher, Tara Mandy, to express interest in getting involved. Shortly after that, I changed my mind and retracted my inquiry. It was right when the postpartum anxiety stuff was hitting the fan, and I needed to cut way back on responsibilities, not take on more.
When Tara reached out to me again last month to see if I might still be interested, I gave it a lot of thought. Was I in a better place now? Even though I’m pregnant and about to add another baby to the mix?
You know what? I think I am. Actually, I know I am. How awesome is that? I’ve come this far in a year and a half. Take that, PPA. Though, be sure I’m taking precautions to keep myself from becoming overwhelmed post-baby this time.
I’m excited to say I’m now the Editor of StrollerTraffic Dallas! It’s really a lovely website and 2x a week email that’s useful and easy to read. If you haven’t signed up for it yet, you should! (There are also emails and websites for New York, LA, Chicago, Boston, and an Every City edition.) We work hard to find great little nuggets of info for you about local, timely, up and coming, trendy and fun things for babies and parents.
Published by a former New York magazine editor, StrollerTraffic is the smart and savvy email and website for city moms (and expecting moms!) with kids under 3.
We’re here to keep you posted on the latest inventions, developments, and trends in the world of babies and toddlers. All with an appreciation of the best and a nod toward practicality. – StrollerTraffic.com/About
I’m still trying to get my contacts established, and will forever be on the hunt for great story ideas. So PLEASE, if you know of anything in the Dallas/Fort Worth area that meets these requirements, let me know!
-Pertains to babies and kids under 3
–Timely, new, up and coming, or a fresh take on something established
-Fun, trendy, practical
For now, you can email me at jill at babyrabies dot com. Please put StrollerTraffic Pitch in the title. I should have a ST specific email up and running soon.
I so appreciate any ideas you can send my way! That will be the hardest part of this job, but if I can get that stream of information flowing, it will be a piece of cake. Mmmm…. cake.

That’s a quick-witted answer to a difficult question
This info is the cat’s pajamas!
That’s the thinking of a creative mind
That’s really shrewd! Good to see the logic set out so well.
Now that’s subtle! Great to hear from you.
I’d venture that this article has saved me more time than any other.
If you wrote an article about life we’d all reach enlightenment.
Wham bam thank you, ma’am, my questions are answered!
You’re the most pleasant person to watch that i’ve found lately. Always warm and caring and funny. A true blessing to the YT makeup world I LOVE the Pink Safari Dazzle heart mirror and would be tickled pink to win it Hugs,Summer
Hi Han,Ideally – not accessing email in anyway, be it Gmail or ‘legacy’ email. However, we’re aware that some people don’t stop working at 5pm on a Friday and would need to access email across this period. If you do, you’ll need to remember that email is in a state of flux. New emails will be going into your new Gmail account, but the older emails will be midmigration into Gmail.
lunazen dit :Une très belle collection. Des couleurs naturelles et intenses me faisant penser aux pigments que l’on trouve en Beaux-arts.
Great blog! Do you have any hints for aspiring writers? I’m hoping to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m totally overwhelmed .. Any suggestions? Appreciate it!
