Life with my husband can be… interesting. He works for the FDA. He has a masters in food science. He knows WAY too much about every restaurant I ever want to eat at. He can ruin salad bars and Chinese buffets for you in 30 seconds.
Naturally, he’s a touch protective about the food our kids eat, the manner in which they eat them, and the temps the food is at when they eat it. The man has his very own fancy-pants digital food thermometer, and I swear he would haul it to every BBQ we get invited to if he knew I wouldn’t die from embarrassment… or rolling my eyes too hard.
I got a big box full of every size of Packit cooler available earlier in the summer, and I think it was one of the most exciting perks of my job ever for him.
As you can see, we use them for a lot more than just school lunches (though it is super awesome to have a bag big enough to fit Kendall’s Goodbyn in). The wine bag carries 2 bottles of wine OR you can take the divider out and use it as an extra tall lunch bag, or even to keep a bottle of juice cool on your way to a playdate. (Or a bottle of juice on one side and a bottle of champagne on the other for traveling mimosas… just a thought. A brilliant one.)
I love using the tiny one for breastmilk storage when I’m traveling on short trips. For longer trips, I’ve taken the large grocery bag for all my milk.
Packits are awesome because they fold up and go right into the freezer. The bags, themselves, freeze. There’s no trying to keep up with separate ice packs, and the ice surrounds the contents to keep it cool all the way around.
As I mentioned, we’ve had these a few months now. They have held up wonderfully, and believe me, we’ve used the heck out of them. The inside wipes clean with soap and water.
Of COURSE, Packit is amazing and wants one of you to have not just one of these, but ALL OF THEM. Trust me, you will find a use for each and every one. The winner of this super cool giveaway will get:
All in the design of your choice. That’s over $100 in foldable, freezable Packit coolers!
But wait! That’s not all! (said in my most believable infomercial voice)
Since you’ll probably want to fill these coolers with all kinds of yummy and healthy food for your entire family, I’m going to throw in a copy of the soon-to-be-released book by Catherine McCord of Weelicious fame!
Y’all, I’ve had this book for a week and I’ve made 6 recipes from it so far. That’s HUGE for someone who hates cooking. My kids have LOVED every single one, and so have the grown ups. It’s truly a beautiful, clear, well thought out book.
You know what I think this would be a great gift for? A one year old’s birthday. They’re getting ready to enter that realm where they start to get picky about food. Give their parents some delicious ideas for back up instead of another toy. Throw in some fun popsicle molds while you’re at it… and a Packit, of course.
You can pre-order Weelicious now, and it will be available in stores on September 18th.
Ready to win the whole shebang? Enter in the widget below. Good luck!
Disclosure: I was sent the Packit coolers and the Weelicous book at no cost to me. All opinions and pictures are my own.
