Getting Hammered On NYE

Tonight…

We’re kicking off 2012 with a BANG… quite literally. That’s the beginning phase of our new home office. Because nothing screams FUN like home renovations at all hours of the night while you keep your fingers crossed you don’t wake the baby.

Hope you all have a wonderful night, and Happy New Year! See ya in 2012.

    It’s amazing what changes in 5 years…sounds like a “wild” night. ;)

How tall are your ceilings Jill? I have always wanted to do this with our front room because it is a wasted space (supposed to be a living room). But we have 20+ foot ceilings in that area so I am thinking it would look weird…..

Ours are only 10 feet. I imagine 20 feet would be really, really hard to DIY. I hate those giant “formal” spaces, though. Such a waste for the way families like ours live.

Ha! So true. Five years ago me would be horrified by last night me, but I couldn’t be happier, especially not feeling terrible today! Happy New Year!

Hey! John could come give you a hand! He’s added a wall too. I wanted an office in our first condo, so he framed the whole thing out, and even installed these BEAUTIFUL french doors. A family friend taught him how to do it. I was so proud!!! I only got to enjoy it for a year before we moved, but it was nice while it lasted. Congrats on your new office.

Ha! My 17 year-old asked me last night if I have ever been “toddler wasted” (so drunk you crawl around) I laughed as I thought back to “those days” and then said “No, of coarse not”, Ah the nights when I could drink and not worry about what “I come home to”. Yep they grow up, too! Good luck on your office project!

Oh, if only I had my very own, life size DIY hubby. Alas, I do not (he’s a great father, but fix-it man, not so much). I will have to live vicariously through you. Good luck on the remodel!

Hahahahahah we spent ours putting in another bathroom, well framing for it! Yay to exciting NYE! NYE is my wedding anniversary too, that’s how “fun” we are, celebrating it with reno’s.
