He wanted to comb his hair all. by. him. self. “Like daddy’s” he insisted. So, whatever, I left him in his bathroom with the comb. He came to find me 5 minutes later, the front of his head soaked in water, his hair combed straight down. He was quite proud of himself.
As I brushed my teeth, he nonchalantly looked up at me and said, “Mom, I need to borrow a wittle of your pit stuff.”
“Huh?” I asked with toothpaste foaming out of my mouth.
“Your pit stuff…. I need some…. You know? PIT stuff???” and then he mimed like he was putting on deodorant.
It was all I could do not to spit my mouth full of foamy toothpaste all over the mirror.
Geesh. Slow down, little boy. 3 is hard enough without pretending you’re going through puberty! Thank GOD those 2 phases don’t coincide.
Kendall is 3 years and nearly 8 months old.

My 4 year old often asks for my “pit stuff” too. I pretend to put it on him with the cover on. It seems to appease him. My 12 year old who’s 4 months away from teendom would love to be her brother’s age actually, lol. She is dreading all of these changes.
I always say my 4yo is 4 going on 13yo girl with all the sassing, back talk and eye rolling. He’s recently added ‘I was being sarcastic, mom’. I now understand why mamma lions eat there babies…
My 4 yr old like to put on pit stuff too. LOL!
Too bad they are not that eager to use it when they hit puberty and actually need it!
Every time my toddler sees me put lotion on after a shower, he has to have some too. We keep Bath and Body Works in business!
After working with High Schoolers, I let my daughter start early. Good habit to be in!
My 22 month always says “I do I do!” when she sees me put deodorant on. If I let me 3 year old do her hair, she would get the brush tangled in her hair (I know this because it has happened)
Yep, I’ve shared deodorant with our 3.5 year old. What gets me is the “Leave me alone!” or “Get out of my room!” followed by door slamming. The Hubs is glad not to have a daughter out of fear of the teenage years. But I’m pretty sure our little guy is currently in that stage.
we do what monica does. just leave the cap on.
Your photos make me NEED Lightroom so I can use presets. I have Elements but you can’t use actions and presets, but I’m LOVING what you’re doing with these images!
I used to tell my oldest that deodorant was “anti-stinky.” I about died the day she borrowed it and wiped it across her diaper covered butt!
Haha, that is too cute & funny! Love!
