Let it be known, tonight, at the tender age of 3 1/2ish years old, Kendall asked to move out of his parents’ house for the first time in his life.
Context:
We love letting Kendall play Wii Sports as a way to keep him active and occupied when he would otherwise be vegging in front of a TV show. That said, we rue the day we ever let him play boxing. He now punches anyone, everyone and everything. Of course, he’s just playing; it’s not a hard punch, but unacceptable, nonetheless.
After he “punched” Scott while getting ready for bed tonight, Scott pulled him into his room and said, “Son, that is IT. You will not play that boxing game ever again. NEVER. Not until you move out.”
To which Kendall replied, “Daddy, I want to move out!”
“Well, you’ll have to get a real job then, Kendall.”
“Daddy, I want to move out and get a real job and play punch.”
So… if any of you have a small apartment and a job opening, let us know.
Kendall is 3 years 5 months old

Hey, that seems nicer then our usual “I hate my family. I want to move away!” Oh and she is only 4.5 yrs old, so just wait…
I’m sure it’s coming.
put him to work with a toothbrush and bucket… i’m sure he’ll change his mind VERY soon! (but the post is WAY too cute not to share!) thank you!
I’m often told that, “I want to live at Grandma/Nana/Aunt Katie/Cousin Carrie’s house! GO HOME MOMMY!” This is often followed by door slamming. Why are these children being toddlagers?
I didn’t even make it to 3 before my son told me he wanted to go live with the chickens at his grandma’s house. He tells me regularly that I need to “Go Way!”
Note to self… no boxing for Keanan…
lately my 3 year old yells- “i dont wuv ou anymore, Bruddy!” when his brother makes him angry… its been said a time or 2 to husband and I also. sigh.
OMG, that’s adorable.
If he got a job as a boxer, he could kill two birds with one stone.
That is a great story! Thanks for the reminder to never, ever, ever let our daughter play any sort of boxing game. We would be dead meat for sure!
Maybe him my son can get an apartment together. There has been a few occasions that my 3 yro has told me he was done with me & leaving.
Hey kid. Door’s right there. 😉
I do not have a job or an apartment but I have the perfect roommate. He is almost four and would love to play punching all day long. Especially if little brothers are involved.
